I am trying to put a report together for the percentage of people affected directly by natural disasters; meaning you or someone close to you was in the disaster.
Was an organization like the red cross or national guard there? Were they helpful?
Yes, when I was a child living in Kansas. We lived there only for 1 1/2 years and went through some horrific tornadoes.
Take Action Today!
When I was 3 years old we lived in Tennessee and were flooded.
When we moved to Washington, DC we moved just in time for Hurricane Agnes, where our temporary housing was filled with 3 feet of water.
The Red Cross was not at any of these disasters.

I was late getting home from school once..when our school bus driver had to pull in a ditch to avoid a tornado that destroyed a vehicle a few feet away . Then we continued on a few minutes later when it was over .

I live in Florida,, I have been through a few hurricanes, minor damage to our home, I didn’t get any help from anyone, we were without electricity for a week, all stores were closed, but we got through it OK,, our car was crushed by a neighbors tree. not covered on our policy, so we lost that.
