    Well, it’s a little unusual by modern standards, maybe that’s what he meant. Like weird funny, not haha funny. Plus the “oh the humanity” thing is something we only hear in jokes these days.

    Kinda hard to see on this clip, but there are people very clearly visible being burned alive/crushed.

    Anyone not accustomed to that kind of thing would probably be crying and definitely be traumatized to some degree.
