I’m part of the engineering team that is developing one of EMC’s SRM adapters – currently using RC2 bits, exactly how we say in the video.
VMware/EMC’s joint SRM solution IS unique. We have SRM support for customers using iSCSI and IP WANs, those using FC and DWDM WANs, ones that are heterogeneous configurations, ones that are asynchronous and ones that are synchronous – and everything in between.

How does the presenter uses SRM “today” when EMC has not finished its SRM Qual and the product’s not available? He needs to pick the binders off the floor for now…
Btw…SRM’s not a differentiator between storage vendors as almost all storage vendors are in the process of integrating with SRM.
