Can anyone help me with Disaster Recovery Planning?

This is what I am stuck on, I need to know how to respond to disasters such as:

Fire
Flood
Technology Failure
Power outage
Theft

Who would be notified first in each of those? and what would the proper course of action be? If it helps any I am developing this for a doctor’s office

Thanks in advance

Well, I don;t know about protecting the people. But one thing people often overlook is that if the doctors office experienced a disaster like the ones you described, it would also be necessary to have all his computer information. Think of an external drive.

You have to attack each category individually, and also the destruction standpoint as well as the the care standpoint, those who would be injured. So for fire it would be, obviously putting it out and removing victims. Disaster recovery also has to to with metrics, which involves how many can be cared for, how many fires and what resources to call in to care for more victims, or fires if necessary. This is where your networks would then begin, ie getting trained personnel to the effected area(s) from other areas that have not been effected, ie getting necessary personnel from other states, or even countries. This is a very short summary, but disaster recovery is an extensive science and not exact.
